Policy

CRPE advocates for statewide policies that will benefit under-resourced, low-income communities of color in California.

In addition to community organizing and litigation, we connect legislators directly with impacted communities to increase awareness of environmental justice issues. Each year we train community members on legislative matters and facilitate meetings with representatives at the Capitol. This capacity building develops local leaders and helps to shift the power to groups most impacted by environmental injustices. By supporting and helping to draft key bills, we are ensuring that the needs and voices of our communities are addressed in Sacramento.
